Personal Branding workshops in China captivate alumni

Tony Byng, Associate Professor at Leeds University Business School hosted our latest series of alumni events in China this month.

Tony Byng, Associate Professor at Leeds University Business School hosted our latest series of alumni events in China this month.

Tony was joined by graduates in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou for his workshops about ‘Personal Branding: Being Yourself Online’ which explored the phenomenon of Personal Branding, particularly in a digital context. Drawing on both academic and industry research, he challenged alumni to reflect on the design, delivery and impact of their own personal branding efforts online and evoked an extremely enthusiastic and lively interaction on the topic.

The workshops were followed by refreshments and networking, with over 200 alumni attending the three events overall.

Tony said “I’m always incredibly impressed by the accomplishments of our alumni across the world. In China, I heard many tales of career and business success reflecting on the experiences in Leeds that helped our alumni achieve their ambitions. And, it is extremely rewarding to see former students from different courses and different years sharing their memories of Leeds in forging new relationships and strengthening existing ones.”
