Alumni in Nicosia explore the power of storytelling in business

The Business School’s recent alumni event in Nicosia, Cyprus, focused on the power of storytelling in business.

The event took place at the stylish MAP Boutique Hotel, where alumni were treated to an engaging brunch and a thought-provoking session on the power of storytelling in business.

Tony Byng, Associate Professor of Marketing Practice led the discussions, guiding attendees through the principles of crafting compelling business narratives. His interactive session sparked lively debates among alumni, who enthusiastically shared their insights on how storytelling can elevate brand messaging and strengthen connections with audiences.

The collaborative atmosphere made it an invaluable opportunity for networking, with alumni reconnecting with old friends and building new connections. Attendees praised the event for its interesting content and enjoyable delivery, leaving them inspired and eager to implement new strategies in their professional careers.

Event host Tony Byng shared his thoughts on the event’s success: “It’s always wonderful to have the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones at these events.  The achievements of our alumni never fail to impress and they truly value the opportunity to ‘go back to the classroom’, even if only for an hour or so, to learn something new and enjoy discussion with their peers.”
