International Business Department hosts event in Seoul

The International Business Department sponsored an event at the AIB 2024 conference in Seoul, South Korea hosted by the Academy of International Business Sustainability Shared Interest Group.

The social networking event took place at Platinum Launch Bar at the official conference hotel Lotte on 4 July 2024.

The event proved extremely popular as the initial 40 delegate limit was quickly filled, and further conference delegates joined later in the evening, resulting in over 60 people attending the event.

Many of them thanked Maria Ilieva for the warm atmosphere and said the event had a pleasant spirit that exceeded their expectations. Attendees have asked for the same networking event to be organized again next year.

Delegates said that they appreciated how the SIG representatives moved around to all of the tables and talked to everybody.

Leeds University Business School was highlighted as one of the conference sponsors during the opening and closing ceremonies.

A representative of the Academy of International Business Sustainability Shared Interest Group commented:

We would like to especially thank our sponsor, the International Business Department of Leeds University Business School, and the Deputy Dean Professor Niall Hayes and the Head of IB Department Professor Mohammad Faisal Ahammad for approving and supporting it.

Special thanks to the conference organizers Tunga Kiyak and Ieva Kule and the whole AIB team, also Jasper Minton-Taylor, manager of the IB department admin team, for the full support during the preparation and organizing of the event.
