MSc International Marketing Management

This popular Masters degree will give you the perfect start to your professional career in marketing. It is ideal if you wish to gain knowledge and skills in key areas of strategic marketing, particularly in an international environment.

You will be taught how to appreciate modern and prospective new developments in marketing management theory and practice. Through a programme of academic and practical study, you will explore essential areas including international marketing, marketing strategy and marketing research. You will also gain a comprehensive understanding of key international considerations, including international services marketing, consumer behaviour across cultures and global supply chains.

The course has a practical focus and you will have the opportunity to develop professional skills through in-company assignments and case studies examining genuine business scenarios. At the end of the taught modules, there is an option to complete either a final research dissertation or a practical consultancy project for a company.

THIRD SEMESTER
Third semester

At the end of the taught modules during the third semester, you have the option to complete either a final research dissertation or a practical consultancy project undertaken for a company.

Marketing consultancy project

The project gives you an opportunity to work with a company mentor and apply the theoretical skills and techniques learnt during the taught modules to a ‘live’ corporate situation.

This may involve helping a company to examine a range of issues including entry strategies into new markets, market trend analysis, market assessments and competitive analysis.

Research dissertation

The dissertation is an extended piece of research, giving you an opportunity to explore a topic of your choice on a more analytical level. You will apply knowledge gained from the taught modules and develop it further to examine your chosen subject in more depth.

Qualification Requirements

  • You should have a good first degree (2:1 or higher) in a subject other than a marketing specialisation.
  • If you are not from the UK please visit equivalent qualifications to find out about entry requirements from non-UK countries.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language you need to attain one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT: At least 92 overall with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing.

  • IELTS test you need to achieve a score of 6 or more in each section and an overall score of 6.5.
