Entry Requirements for Masters Degrees

To be accepted onto any of our postgraduate Masters degrees, you need a good UK bachelor degree (minimum 2:1) or international equivalent qualification. If you don't have a bachelor degree you may be considered on the basis of your work experience and the relevance of the course to your role.

Specific entry requirements for each course are provided below, in alphabetical order.

MSc Accounting and Finance A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject such as accounting, finance, economics or mathematics. A background in accounting is essential and you’ll need to have a good grounding in quantitative subjects.
MSc Actuarial Finance A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject such as mathematics, statistics, economics or finance. You must have a strong grounding in quantitative subjects with high scores in quantitative modules.
MSc Banking and International Finance A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject, such as accounting, finance or mathematics, and normally a background in economics.
MA Advertising and Marketing A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject. The course is most suitable for those who have a general business or non-business background, but we welcome applications from those who have previously studied marketing.
MSc Business Analytics and Decision Sciences A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject. A strong grounding in quantitative subjects is required, typically through some university-level study in subjects such as statistics, management science, computer science or mathematics. In exceptional circumstances, outstanding performance in mathematics and/or statistics at pre-university level can be considered.
MSc Business Psychology A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a relevant subject, such as business or a social science subject. Applicants who can demonstrate significant relevant business or psychology coverage as part of a degree in an alternative subject will be considered on an individual basis. MSc Consumer Analytics and Marketing Strategy A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject. Quantitative skills are beneficial but not essential; a willingness to engage with quantitative materials is required.
MA Corporate Communications, Marketing and Public Relations A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject.
MSc Economics A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) with a background in economics. A strong grounding in quantitative subjects with high grades in these subjects is essential.
MSc Economics and Finance A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) with a background in economics, finance or accounting. A strong grounding in quantitative subjects, with high grades in these subjects, is essential.
MSc Enterprise A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject. A background in business or management is desirable, but applicants from other disciplines will be considered.
MSc Finance and Investment A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject such as accounting, finance, economics or mathematics. You should have a strong grounding in quantitative subjects with high scores in these subjects.
MSc Financial Risk Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a relevant subject such as accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, physics, or engineering. You should have a strong grounding in quantitative subjects with high scores in these subjects.
MSc Financial Mathematics A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a related subject such as finance, economics, mathematics, physics, computing or engineering.
MSc Global Innovation Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject.
MSc Global Supply Chain Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject.
MA Human Resource Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) usually in a social science subject. Applicants with a degree in another subject will also be considered.
MSc Information Systems and Information Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in business, management or any relevant subject e.g. computing, information systems etc.
MSc International Business A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject. You should also have an interest in the subject, although you don’t need any prior experience or qualifications in this area.
MSc International Marketing Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject. The course is most suitable for those who have a general business or non-business background, but we also welcome applications from those who have previously studied marketing.
MSc Management A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons).
MSc Management Consulting A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in any subject.
MA Organizational Behaviour A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a relevant subject, such as business or a social science. Applicants who can demonstrate significant relevant coverage as part of a degree in an alternative subject will be considered on an individual basis.
MSc Organizational Psychology A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) that is BPS accredited. You can find out if your degree is accredited by contacting the BPS Partnership and Accreditation Team
MSc Strategic Management in the Global Environment A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a business-related subject, with a good grounding in quantitative subjects.
