We would love you to come and study with us. For acceptance onto one of our Masters programmes, you need a good UK Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1) or equivalent qualification. If you don't have a first degree you may be considered on the basis of your work experience and the relevance of the Masters programme to your role.

Masters Programme Qualification Requirements
MSc Accounting & Finance A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, for example accounting or finance. Good grounding in quantitative subjects. Background in accounting essential.
MSc Actuarial Finance Relevant subject, eg mathematics, statistics, economics or finance. Background in finance or economics is desirable but not essential. Good grounding in quantative subjects.
MSc Banking and International Finance A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, for example, accounting, finance or mathematics and normally a background in economics. Must have a good grounding in quantitative subjects with high scores in these subjects.
MSc Financial Risk Management & MSc Finance and Investment A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, e.g. accounting, finance, mathematics or engineering. Good grounding in quantitative subjects.
MSc Financial Mathematics You should have a good first degree in a relevant subject e.g. economics, engineering, finance, computing, physics, mathematics.
MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Finance A good undergraduate degree with a background in economics.
MSc Enterprise Background in business or management is desirable though applicants from other disciplines will be considered.
MA Human Resource Management, MA Diversity Management A good quality Bachelors degree usually in the social sciences or equivalent qualification and relevant experience. Applications with a good quality degree from a non social science background will also be considered.
MA Corporate Communications and Public Relations Background in business, marketing, communications or languages or a related subject.
MA Textile Innovation and Branding, MA Advertising and Marketing, MSc International Marketing Managment Primarily targeted at students with a general business or non-business background, however we do not restrict entry for those who have previously studied a marketing specialism.
MSc International Business Background in any subject. We particularly welcome applicants with a business, management or related degree.
MSc Management Any subject other than business and management.
MSc Organizational Psychology A BPS accredited psychology degree. Applicants who hold an undergraduate degree in psychology from an overseas institution maybe eligible if the degree is BPS accredited. English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language you need a pass in an approved test in English. These tests include the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) and the Pearson Test of English Academic.

The IELTS score required is 6.5 overall with no less than 6 in each section.

The University of Leeds Language Centre provides an Academic English for Business and Management Pre-sessional Programme which is designed to help international students develop the necessary language and academic study skills required for successful study on a taught postgraduate degree programme at the University of Leeds. Courses are offered throughout the year with starting dates in January, April, July or August.

  • TOEFL iBT: At least 92 overall with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing.

For the Pearson Test of English Academic you need to achieve 64 on PTE Academic, with at least 60 in each of the skills.
