Entry Requirements for Masters Degrees

To be accepted onto any of our postgraduate Masters degrees, you need a good UK bachelor degree (minimum 2:1) or equivalent qualification. If you don't have a bachelor degree you may be considered on the basis of your work experience and the relevance of the course to your role.

Specific entry requirements for each course are provided below, in alphabetical order.

MSc Accounting and Finance A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in a relevant subject, for example accounting or finance.
Good grounding in quantitative subjects. Background in accounting essential.
MSc Actuarial Finance A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in a relevant subject, eg mathematics, statistics, economics or finance. Good grounding in quantitative subjects is essential. Background in finance or economics is desirable but not essential.
MSc Banking and International Finance A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in a relevant subject, for example, accounting, finance or mathematics and normally a background in economics.
Must have a good grounding in quantitative subjects with high scores in these subjects.
MA Advertising and Marketing A 2:1 bachelor degree in any subject. Most suitable for students with a general business or non-business background, however we do not restrict entry for those who have previously studied a marketing specialism.
MSc Business Analytics and Decision Sciences A 2:1 bachelor degree in a relevant subject. Strong grounding in quantitative subjects.
MSc Business Psychology A 2:1 bachelor degree in a business or social science subject.
Applicants who can demonstrate significant relevant business or psychology coverage as part of a degree in an alternative subject will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
MA Corporate Communications and Public Relations A 2:1 bachelor degree in business, marketing, communications or languages, or a related subject.
MSc Economics;
MSc Economics and Finance
A 2:1 bachelor degree with a background in economics.
MSc Enterprise A 2:1 bachelor degree in business or management is desirable, though applicants who have studied other subjects will be considered.
MSc Finance and Investment;
MSc Financial Risk Management
A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in a relevant subject, e.g. accounting, finance, mathematics or engineering.
Good grounding in quantitative subjects is essential.
MSc Financial Mathematics A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in a relevant subject e.g. economics, engineering, finance, computing, physics, mathematics.
MSc Global Innovation Management;
MSc Global Supply Chain Management
A 2:1 bachelor degree in any subject.
MA Human Resource Management A 2:1 bachelor degree, usually in a social science subject, and relevant experience. Applicants with a good quality degree from a non social science background will also be considered.
MSc Information Systems and Information Management A 2:1 bachelor degree in business, management or relevant subject e.g. computing, information systems, etc.
MSc International Business A 2:1 (minimum) bachelor degree in any subject.
MSc International Marketing Management A 2:1 bachelor degree in any subject. Most suitable for students with a general business or non-business background, however we do not restrict entry for those who have previously studied a marketing specialism.
MSc Management A 2:1 bachelor degree in any subject.
MA Organizational Behaviour A 2:1 bachelor degree in a business or social science subject. Applicants who can demonstrate significant relevant coverage as part of a degree in an alternative subject will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
MSc Organizational Psychology A British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited psychology degree, minimum 2:1. Applicants who hold a bachelor degree in psychology from an overseas institution maybe eligible if the degree is BPS accredited. MSc Strategic Management in the Global Environment A 2:1 bachelor degree in a business related subject with a good grounding in quantitative subjects is essential.
