How we support small business
Leeds University Business School has a proven track record of developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with the small business community. The School holds a Small Business Charter (SBS) award delivered by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) in recognition of its support for growing and ambitious organisations.
We are an official training provider of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership which means that our programmes may be eligible for LEP Skills Funding. To discuss this further please contact the Executive Education Team who will talk you through the process and check your eligibility.
Small business programmes
We offer programmes designed specifically for SMEs who are looking to develop and grow. The goal is to provide participants with tools and resources to help them lay the foundations for long-term sustainable growth and job creation in their communities. Our programmes are aimed at owners of small businesses or social enterprises with strong potential for growth. An example of one success is our award-winning Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme.
Access to specialist knowledge
There are opportunities to work with the University of Leeds and find support for your business through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs). KTPs are a proven means by which your organisation can access the specialist knowledge of our academics and graduates. They are a government funded scheme to encourage organisations in industry, commerce, the public and service sectors to foster a culture of innovation, bringing new ideas and products to market and enhancing capabilities.
