The Honorable Mary-Jo Jacobi is a Corporate Director and former Presidential Advisor with a unique blend of experience at the heights of the corporate, public and voluntary sectors on both sides of the Atlantic.

Mary-Jo Jacobi is a portfolio executive, public speaker and international commentator with a rare blend of experience at the highest levels of the private and public sectors in the United States and United Kingdom. In addition to her own corporate advisory consultancy, she is a Non-Executive Director of Mulvaney Capital Management, Non-Executive Chairman of the IDM Group and a member of the UK’s Advisory Committee on Business Appointments. 

Mary-Jo was appointed a British Civil Service Commissioner by HM Queen Elizabeth II. President George H W Bush appointed her Assistant US Secretary of Commerce, and she was Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan, who also appointed her to his Advisory Committee on Trade Negotiations. 

In the private sector, Mary-Jo has been a Non-Executive Director of Tate & Lyle plc, Executive Director of Drexel Burnham, Chairman of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, Non-Executive Director of the Ladies European (Golf) Tour and Chairman of the UK Forensic Science Service’s External Advisory Group. In addition, she served three terms on the US-UK Fulbright Commission and was a member of the Council of the Technology Colleges Trust.

She was Executive Vice President of BP America, Vice President of Royal Dutch Shell, Managing Director of Lehman Brothers, Advisor to the Board of HSBC Holdings, and Senior Vice President of Drexel Burnham Lambert. She also held public affairs positions with 3M, the National Association of Manufacturers and El Paso Natural Gas Company. She began her career on the staff of the US Senate Commerce Committee.
