Responsibilities
Surender Munjal is a member of academic staff in the Centre for International Business, Leeds University Business School. He works as Doctoral Research Fellow in the James E. Lynch India and South Asia Business Centre with Dr. Nicolas Forsans.
Prior to joining Leeds University, he worked as 'Senior Lecturer' at University of Delhi, India. He is currently on sabbatical from the University of Delhi to pursue a PhD in International Business from the University of Leeds.
He is also a qualified 'Chartered Accountant' and 'Management Accountant' from India. He has taught on various executive training programmes and management institutes in India. The Institute of Cost and works Accountants of India have voted him as the best faculty member.
He is a reviewer for the Economic and Social Research Council, UK. He also reviews articles for the Journal of Asia Pacific Economy and Vikalpa (A Journal of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad).
He is on the board of governors of St. Peter's Church of England School, Leeds. Previously, he has been on the board of two New Delhi based NGOs from 1997-2008.
He has wide academic interest ranging from Tax, Accounting, Finance, and Marketing, in which he has various publications and paper presentations, and now latest in the row is International Business. His current research projects are on foreign acquisitions by Indian multinationals and determinants of foreign direct investments particularly from developing countries such as India.
Recently, his research work has caught the attention of the Reuters who interviewed him. The Secretary General of the Commonwealth has also appreciated his work.
