Qualifications
Stan Karanasios is a Research Fellow at the AIMTech Research Group in the Business School. His research interests concentrate on emergent information communication technologies and the emergency services and their use in disaster situations; the use of information communication technologies for development in developing countries, and; the use of Activity Theory as a methodology for understanding disruptive technology. Currently, Stan is working on two European Commission Framework 7 projects on researching the potential and impact of Cognitive Radio technology (ACROPOLIS project) and activity modelling for and novel Immersive Reflective Experience-based Adaptive Learning simulators (ImREAL project).
