Experience

Richard was previously a lecturer in enterprise in the Welsh Enterprise Institute at the University of Glamorgan. In addition he was project manager for four years at a small fast-growth HR internet solutions company based in London, during its flotation on AIM.
 Richard has delivered enterprise courses as a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Science, Munich; Ecole de Management de Normandie; Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Cardiff University.

Research

Richard has published in international journals in relation to theory focusing on new movements in entrepreneurship and innovation and innovations in enterprise eduction. Richard’s doctoral studies involved an investigation of social processes in the practice of internal corporate venturing in multinational firms using techniques such as qualitative case methods, participant observation and thematic analysis. This involved research with over 30 multinational firms and high-tech ventures.

Current research interests include open innovation and corporate venturing, enterprise education and the social emergence of new ventures. Additional interests include interpretive and critical approaches to entrepreneurship research.
