Research
Kevin Reilly's current research is in a number of distinct areas of empirical economics. He has an ongoing research project with John Ham of the University of Southern California with the goal of developing new tests of labour market equilibrium and disequilibrium theories using micro data. This research is currently being funded by the Economic and Social Science Research Council under grant number RES-000-22-1765. He is continuing his work in the area of discrimination in the labour market. Papers he is working on included the determinants of gender segregation at the establishment level of the firm; the role of perceptions of discrimination in the labour market on observed outcomes and the use of job characteristics in the modelling of wage outcomes. This is a joint project with Luisa Zanchi of Leeds University Business School; Jaume Garcia of the Department of Economics, Universitat Pompeu Fabra; Angel Lopez-Nicolas of the Department of Economics, Polytechnic University of Cartagena and Pedro J. Hermandez of the Department of Economics Universidad de Murica. This research is funded by the European Union and has resulted in a new matched worker-employer data set. Finally, Kevin is continuing his work with Peter J. Buckley, Jeremy Clegg and Nicolas Forsans of Leeds University Business School on the effect of different forms of regional economic integration on the Foreign Direct Investment decision.
