Experience
Before joining the Business School Iain attended Strathclyde University where he attained an Honours Degree in Finance. After this Iain worked at the University of Strathclyde as a research and teaching fellow and produced a number of papers which were subsequently presented at both national and international conferences.
Research
Iain’s PhD focuses on the impact of defined benefit pension schemes on UK firms. In particular Iain analyses the impact that the risk of the pension scheme has upon company performance and strategy as well as how to account for defined benefit pension schemes.
Other research interests include corporate governance, financial reporting, fund performance and emerging market finance.
