Research

Dan Coffey’s research interests lie in two main areas: (a) comparative economic policies in a global context, with particular regard to industrial and labour market policy, and the responsibilities assumed by the state and public sector, and (b) the organization and analysis of production systems, with particular regard to complex manufactured goods and extending to include questions of pricing and distribution. His work includes research on the overlap between economics, engineering and industrial sociology, and the role of myth in informing precepts about the defining characters of production systems.
