'Tackling sustainability with maximum impact and minimum cost'
In his lecture Julian Walker-Palin, Asda's Head of Corporate Sustainability will share his experiences tackling sustainability at Asda. He will explore some 'quick wins' that can be implemented easily with maximum impact and minimum cost and highlight how Asda has taken a common sense approach to sustainability by firstly tackling their direct impacts and then looking at product and supply chain impacts.
Julian will outline the approach taken by Asda in reducing their environmental impact. He will also share the outputs of the widest customer survey ever completed on sustainability by a retailer and outline the challenges he sees ahead. This lecture will appeal to representatives from any size of business wanting to do more to reduce their environmental impact without significant overheads. Delegates will get to hear about tried and tested tools that can be adapted to suit any size of business in any industry.
This series is organised in association with Royal Bank of Scotland, who are committed to helping local communities achieve their strategic goals.
