Research interests

My research interest include all aspects of the world car industry, including the auto-industrial-energy nexus and the global political economy of the car. I have considerable experience in the broad field of industrial strategy, originating in early involvement with the European Network for Industrial Policy as well as more recent collaborative work on a new industrial strategy for Britain, the place of manufacture in Europe, and democratic deficits in contemporary industrial policy formulation. My work has also evolved to include productivity and sustainability.

Student education

I have teaching experience at all levels ranging from undergraduate to taught postgraduate and MBA. Areas include: microeconomics, industrial economics, economics of business and corporate strategy, global economy and political economy.
