This course combines core knowledge and understanding of international business with the study of accounting and finance. It will give you the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage the international business and finance activities of an organisation.

This programme draws on the specialist knowledge and research expertise of the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), ranked number 6 in the world for the quality of its teaching by the Financial Times (2006) and one of the world's leading research centres in international business (International Business Review, August 2006).

Assessment

Your work will be assessed using a variety of methods, designed to showcase your knowledge and strengthen your skill set. Assessment methods may include coursework, oral presentations, group reports, examinations and dissertations.

You can apply in your second year to spend your third year either in industry or studying abroad.

Whether your career aspirations lie with government departments, consultancy firms, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or large multinational enterprises (MNEs), this course will give you a vital understanding of the challenges, opportunities and processes of international business. 

As our international business degrees were only launched in 2010 we do not have any graduate destinations available for you yet. However, these programmes are designed to prepare you for specialist roles in, for example, export management, international marketing, international economic policy and analysis, international trade, and international business finance.

Plus, the finance element of this course will enable you to go into accountancy firms, investment banks, high street banks, insurance companies, savings banks, management consultancies and public sector employment.
