BSc Economics with Transport Studies
This degree programme offers you the opportunity to combine a broad understanding of economics and its application to the transport sector. Covering the core concepts, practices and techniques of each subject, this programme also develops analytical, quantitative, computing, presentation and other transferable skills required by the business world and employers in both the private and public sectors. BSc Economics and Transport Studies should be attractive to those wishing to pursue an interest in economics with a vocationally-oriented specialisation.
You will study some compulsory core modules in your subject and also have the opportunity to choose elective modules from a vast range of subjects offered by other Schools within the University. You will also choose modules from available specialised option subjects. These help you develop a deeper appreciation of Economics and Transport Studies but in areas which are of particular interest to you. Modules are subject to change.
- The BSc Economics with Transport Studies applies the knowledge gained from core economics to the issues of transport planning and development.

Academic Qualifications
- GCSE English Language, minimum grade B
- GCSE Mathematics, minimum grade A
- Typically grades AAB at A Level (or equivalent), excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking

English Language Requirements:
If English is not your first language you need a recognised English language qualification such as:
- IELTS with an overall score of 6.5, with no less than 6 in listening, speaking, reading or writing
- TOEFL iBT with an overall score of 94, with no less than 20 in listening, 23 in reading, 23 in speaking and 24 in writing.
