The Business School Bursary
University of Leeds graduates are entitled to a 10% bursary towards fees. University of Leeds graduates with a first classification are entitled to 20% bursary towards fees.
A 10% bursary is also available to exchange students or those who have studied a Junior Year Abroad at the University of Leeds.
Martin Scicluna Scholarship
What is it?
A £10,000 scholarship, which provides a full fee bursary and contributes towards living costs.
Who qualifies?
All academically outstanding students from the UK/EU who are applying for a masters programme.

Business School UK/EU Scholarships
What is it?
The scholarship award for Masters programmes is up to £4,000 towards the cost of fees.
Who qualifies?
All UK/EU self funding applicants who apply for masters programmes are considered (if you are not in receipt of any other scholarship).
How do I apply?
All students who are offered a place will automatically be considered for a scholarship against set criteria. There is no additional scholarship application process.
As well as meeting the conditions for your offer, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following;
- Outstanding academic credentials i.e. are likely to be in the top 20 percent of your class
- Evidence of achievement explained in your personal statement(for example, prizes or awards received, where you were placed in your class)
- Strong academic reference(s)
- That you bring diversity of background to the class
We will also consider your potential to be a successful ambassador for Leeds University Business School.
If you have been awarded a scholarship, you will usually be told this when you receive your formal offer letter. There are a limited number of scholarships available so candidates who apply early for masters programmes are more likely to receive an award.
ESRC 1+3 Scholarships
Leeds University Business School have been awarded up to 4 Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) scholarships in Management & Business (including Accounting & Finance; Human Resource Management & Employment Relations; International Business; Organisation Theory; Organisational Behaviour & Decision-Making; Marketing) and 1 scholarship in Economics within the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre (DTC), a major new collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.
What are 1+3 scholarships?
For students applying for the Management & Business pathway '1+3' scholarships cover funding for a 1 year Masters of Research (either in Accounting & Finance or Management & Business)*, followed by funding for three years study towards a higher postgraduate degree (PhD) in a Management & Business related topic.

International Business UK & European Scholarship
What is it? Up to 6 half-fee tuition fee scholarships available for 2012-2013 entry.
Who qualifies? Outstanding European students (from the UK, EU and EEA countries). who can demonstrate excellence at all levels, both in their academic achievements as well as outside their studies.
What’s the deadline? 21st July 2012. You will be notified of the outcome of your Scholarship application within 3 weeks of the closing date.

What is it?
There are 2 x full fee scholarship available for 2012/13 entry
Who qualifies?
Academically outstanding or exceptionally deserving students from Vietnam who are applying to study the MSc Accounting and Finance, MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Finance, MSc Actuarial Finance, MSc Banking and International Finance, MSc Finance and Investment, MSc Financial Mathematics and MSc Financial Risk Management. Applicants need to apply to their chosen programme before the 30th May 2012.
How do I apply?
Vietnamese students will automatically be considered for a scholarship when applying for an eligible programme of study. There is not a separate application process. If you wish to be considered for a scholarship you will need to submit your course application before the 30th May 2012.
Leeds University Business School Masters in Finance Scholarship in Partnership with Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok
What is it?
The scholarship award is for the full tuition fee for a Masters in Finance programme.
Who qualifies?
All students from Chulalongkorn University who have applied for, and have recieved an offer to study, on any of the Leeds University Business School Finance Masters Programmes by the 30th March 2012 for study in 2012/13. These include the MSc Accounting and Finance, MSc Actuarial Finance, MSc Banking and International Finance, MSc Finance and Investment, MSc Financial Mathematics and MSc Financial Risk Management.
How do I apply?
All students from Chulalongkorn University with an offer to study with us will automatically be considered for a scholarship against set criteria. There is no additional scholarship application process.
