Global Employability Team

The Business School aims to provide high-impact services to students to enhance their employability and with this aim create and develop strong links with employers which add value to the student experience. The Global Employability team:

  • Provide insight into your chosen markets, help you understand UK recruitment, help you increase your commercial awareness and provide knowledge of the global job market through your Careers Induction Day and the Career Wise Programme.
  • Help raise your self-awareness through workshops and a variety of online career diagnostic tools.
  • Provide opportunities for you to network with other students & staff, other business schools, professional groups, employers, alumni, and other faculties on campus.
  • Support you in enhancing your employability by assisting you to gain projects and internships. This support is delivered though career coaching, advice and training.
  • Advertise vacancies, projects and internships through our website and linked in groups.
  • Assist you in developing your LinkedIn Profile - Over 120 million professionals use LinkedIn to exchange information, ideas, vacancies, and opportunities.

Careers Support starts in Induction; we look forward to meeting you then. In addition to the full day in induction you are invited to attend the Career Wise Programme Event Series to support your development and network with employers. You will receive access via your business school email address when you start your course in September, you may also already be registered with your personal email address you used when applying to the school.

Username: your business school email address e.g. bxxz12@leeds.ac.uk 

Password: has been emailed to your business school email address.

To receive a reminder of your password go to: http://www.carnet-alliance.org/users/forgotpassword/ and enter your business school email address, you will then be emailed the password (once logged in you can change this by clicking on “change password” in the grey box on the left).

Once you are logged in click on “careers support” in the last box on the left hand side of the screen. Then click “Leeds University Business School Careers Resources” after the introduction you will see a list of options – click on each to find out more about your chosen topic including where and how to find vacancies and projects.

Leeds University Careers Centre

The University of Leeds is a target recruiting ground for all major UK recruiters and The University’s Careers Centre is one of the largest in the UK. It provides information, advisory guidance and organises employer networking events. The Careers Centre will help put you in touch with potential employers through employer presentations and careers fairs and it holds workshops to help you develop key skills.
