Creating a dialogue between activity theory and critical realism

This presentation will discuss recent attempts to combine activity theory with critical realism and outline recent strong criticisms of activity theory emanating from critical realists. Dr. Stan Karanasios will respond to these recent critiques and discuss their implications for activity theory as well as sketch out areas of congruency between the two.

The talk is based on the opening keynote Stan will give at the activity theory track at EGOS, July 2017 in Copenhagen.
