We hold numerous major accreditations from leading international bodies in recognition of our research and teaching excellence.
These include ‘triple accreditation’ from the three leading bodies, AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. With an estimated 15,000 business schools worldwide (EQUIS 2017), only a handful hold all three accreditations. These accolades at both School and programme level support our position as a globally recognised Business School.
Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The AACSB was founded in 1916 to accredit business schools in North America and has evolved into one of the world’s largest and most influential business school accreditation associations.
The Association of MBAs oversees the standard and quality of MBAs worldwide.
The Business School has demonstrated high quality levels of teaching, in line with AMBA’s independent standards.
We hold the highly sought-after maximum five year EQUIS accreditation status, described in the Financial Times as "The gold standard for business school accreditation."
The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration.
The Business School demonstrates a high quality in all its activities, and also a high level of internationalisation.
The Business School forms part of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) accredited White Rose Doctoral Training Centre, a collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. Students studying for a PhD in Business and Management or Economics can apply for ESRC scholarships.
The Centre also offers opportunities for funding 1+3 students, where a student undertakes a Masters course during their first year and on successful completion, progresses onto the PhD.
