Head of Corporate Planning, Skye Bank Plc
MBA Full time 2007
Nigerian alumnus Tajudeen Ahmed, better known as ‘Taj’, chose Leeds University Business School because of its reputation, good ranking and opportunity of learning in an MBA cohort of professionals from over 20 different countries, with varied approaches to issues in business, finance and management.
Taj is currently an Assistant General Manager and the Head of Corporate Planning and Strategy department at the Head Office of Skye Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s foremost commercial banks. “My experience at putting myself forward for leadership opportunities at the Business School came very handy in my new role, and my oral and written communication skills, leadership, empathy and self-assurance which were well honed at the Business School have continued to assist me in taking decisions.”
“It's great to stay in touch with the Business School after graduation. In a world where every contact matters, such relationships built in a space of just over a year, could mean so much throughout life. I still keep in touch with staff of the MBA Office, former lecturers, my dissertation supervisor, and many people at Leeds University Business School. I also take a lead in the Leeds University Business School Nigeria Alumni group which has become a great hub for local networking, business and continued learning.
