About the webinar

As the UK and the rest of the world moves towards the biggest economic downturn of modern times, and potentially of the industrial age, stock markets around the world seem to be surprisingly buoyant. With huge programmes of quantitative easing being put in place post 2008, and what is now likely to be unprecedented levels of government expenditure because of the current crisis, this talk discusses what has been going on in markets. And asks whether markets are now effective channels for investment in the real economy, and if they are not, what are the consequences and where is investment happening. Last, some of the more radical solutions that may be required post crisis will be set out.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in the discussion, sharing your views on the issues currently affecting business leaders today.
