I am a postgraduate researcher in Marketing at Leeds University Business School.
After graduating from MA in Corporate Communications and Public Relations with distinction and the student of the year award, I went back to Tokyo to work for about 2 years. My experience in the industry includes a marketing internship at the British Embassy Tokyo which I helped UK Trade and Investment division developing contents for their website as well as a project coordinator at a bilingual creative agency in which I helped international clients (mainly luxury hotels) strengthening their brands and brand images.
My focal research area is sales management, which especially focuses on salespeople's motivations such as burnout, engagement, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. My PhD study investigates the boundary conditions of salespeople's burnout, looking into the sales occupation's unique conditions in which burnout is formed or alleviated. I am also interested in salespeople's voice behavior and service delivery innovations.
I am also leading a consultation project with a Japanese pharmaceutical company. The project involves helping them build strategies for sales employees' engagement and reduce burnout.
