Leaders in Residence programme shortlisted for national employability award
The Leaders in Residence programme at Leeds University Business School has been shortlisted in the Graduate Futures Institute Academic Employability Awards 2026.
The Employer and Community Partnerships category celebrates innovative collaborations with external partners that deliver significant employability benefits for students while contributing positively to the wider community and economy. While the programme did not ultimately win the award, the shortlisting recognises the strength, impact and distinctiveness of the Leaders in Residence initiative on a national stage.
Professor Niall Hayes, Deputy Dean at Leeds University Business School, said:
The Leaders in Residence programme is a powerful example of how partnerships with industry can transform the student experience. Being shortlisted is a testament to the commitment of our Leaders in Residence and the colleagues who champion this work across the School. We’re proud of the programme and the meaningful impact it continues to have on student employability.
The Leaders in Residence programme brings senior industry professionals into the Business School to share insight, mentoring and real‑world experience, helping students develop the skills, confidence and commercial awareness needed to succeed in their careers.
