Profile

Dr Reika Igarashi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Marketing at Leeds University Business School. Her research interests include marketing strategy, sales force management, and employee voice behaviour.

 

Prior to joining the PhD programme at Leeds University Business School (after completing her MA degree in Leeds) she has worked at the British Embassy Tokyo which she helped UK Trade and Investment team as a marketing intern. She also worked as a project coordinator at a bilingual marketing and creative agency where she helped international luxury brands establishing their brand and brand images in Tokyo, Japan. 

 

Research interests

Dr. Reika Igarashi’s focal research area is the marketing strategy and sales force management. 

Her research especially focuses on salespeople’s motivations such as burnout, engagement, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. 

Her PhD study investigated the boundary conditions of salespeople’s burnout, especially looking into the sales occupations’ specific work conditions in which burnout is formed or alleviated. 

She has also a research interest in salespeople’s voice behaviours and service delivery innovations.
