Economics Division hosts Catherine Connolly

Students and alumni are invited to a talk by Catherine Connolly about what it takes to succeed as a professional economist working in government.

For many years Catherine worked in the Senior Civil Service and was a member of the UK Government Economic Service (GES). She worked in a number of departments including HM Treasury, the former Department of Trade and Industry and the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Before her Civil Service career, Catherine worked as a macroeconomic forecaster in the public and private sectors abroad, including at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the New Zealand Treasury in Wellington and Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt.

This event will be of particular interest to Economics students and alumni. There will be some time for Q&A and networking at this event.

Tea and coffee will be served at this event.
