What have you achieved since graduation?

Since graduating I have actually been working for BAE Systems as a Business Improvement Analyst helping to improve operational effectiveness at the submarines site in Barrow-in-Furness. I have just been offered a role as an Assistant Business Psychologist with Impact Consulting which I have accepted. My role will involve assisting in the delivery of coaching, organisational change, recruitment, and leadership development from an evidence-based approach which is grounded in organisational psychology.

Do you think your degree has impacted on your career to date?

It has been very useful in that it provided me with a unique academic insight into organisational issues, as well as equipping me with a number of the practical skills that I needed to apply my teachings in the workplace.

How did you hear about the Business School and why did you choose to study here?

I spent plenty of time researching my programme within the UK, Leeds struck me as the best value for money. This is through the impressive array of partnerships, accreditations and academic contributions the university has.

What were the best part of your studies? What did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed the application of our learning to practical scenarios in the seminars, the course attracted a very good group or peers which really helped with my learning experience.

Do you have any noteworthy achievements from your studies at the Business School that you can tell us about eg prizes, highest scores etc?

Attaining the role of course representative was one of my proudest achievements within the Business School. In addition to this, I also was selected to work with a large multinational company for my dissertation which is something I was very happy with.

What would you say your defining memory of studying here was? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?)

Absolutely I would say it is the friends I've made, both on my course and within the Business School. There are so many great people to meet if you're willing to get stuck in and put yourself out there.

Would you recommend the Business School to others who are considering studying here?

Definitely, it's provided me with a great balance of academic, professional and social opportunities, all surrounded by a fantastic city.
