Professor Stuart in BBC interview: Where to next in the junior doctors' row?

Professor Mark Stuart

Mark Stuart, Montague Burton Professor of Human Resource Management and Employment Relations and Director of the Centre for Employment Relations Innovation and Change (CERIC) appeared in a BBC Look North interview on 26 April 2016 discussing the possibility of a resolution to the junior doctors' strike.

During the interview Professor Stuart commented: "At the moment I can't see a quick resolution to this strike.

"Obviously Jeremy Hunt has said he is going to impose a contract and the doctors aren't prepared to accept that so they're going to continue with industrial action, and it looks like the government isn't prepared to come back to the negotiating table.

"The way to resolve the strike is through dialogue."
