EU Horizon 2020 funded IMPACT Project on crowd behaviour

Kasia Cichomska, Dr Mark Robinson, and Dr Matt Davis have now successfully completed their EU Horizon 2020 funded 30 month IMPACT Project following the final workshop in Rome in September. The project examined crowd behaviour and management in transport terminals in routine and emergency conditions. The University of Leeds was one of eight consortium partners, including European transport operators from the aviation, rail, and maritime sectors. The literature reviews and empirical research undertaken informed the development of a computer simulation model developed by VU University in Amsterdam. Kasia, Mark, and Matt are currently working on publications arising from the research in collaboration with other consortium members.
