Developing Creativity and Entrepreneurship

The ideal innovative organisation maximises value from within whilst also being the first to capitalise on future market trends. But who in the organisation makes this happen and how?

In his presentation, Dr Richard Tunstall will explore how different organisations have used innovation - some have been successful and others have spectacularly failed. Why do the results that organisation expect from innovation often not match the outcomes? Can insights from social learning theories shed new light on why this happens?

After the presentation delegates will discuss and try to apply some of this thinking to their own situations and consider strategies to approach opportunities and challenges in a more entrepreneurial way.

Dr Richard Tunstall as Associate Professor in Enterprise and Acting Head of the Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies at the University of Leeds, has an active interest in social learning both as a researcher in corporate entrepreneurship and as an entrepreneurship educator. Richard’s PhD developed new insights into social learning issues in corporate entrepreneurship and he has worked with large and high growth small firms to develop growth and opportunities through people.

Guests will also have the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni in a relaxed environment.

There is no charge for this event but places are limited and offered on a first come first serve basis.
