A single campus university

The University is located on a lively 98 acre campus, just ten minutes’ walk from the centre of Leeds. Enjoying one of the largest university campuses in the UK whilst being so close to a major city centre makes Leeds a truly unique student experience.

All of our 30,000 students are based on campus where shops, bars and sports facilities make you feel at home. We have one of the best academic libraries in the UK with over 2.8 million items and a new £9m undergraduate library opened in spring 2015. Free Wi-Fi is available across campus.

An award-winning students' union

At the centre of the campus lies our famous Students’ Union building which is the hub of student life in Leeds. Leeds University Union is the only union to ever win the Students’ Union Evaluation Initiative (SUEI) gold award twice and offers a huge range of support. With over 280 clubs and societies it also provides plenty of opportunities to make new friends and embrace university life.

The Union building is set to undergo a £20m upgrade in September 2015 to provide even more space for our students to make the most of their time here.
