OUR AFFILIATED RESEARCH CENTRES

Our division is home to an internationally renowned international business centre, and many of our academics conduct their research within its parameters.

We also run joint research ventures with the Department of East Asian Studies.

As part of our commitment to specialised knowledge and research, we are also engaged in a collaborative endeavour between the departments of East Asian Studies at the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield.

We are also involved with a unique Indian and South Asia research centre, the first of its type in the UK.

STUDY WITH US

Our Centre for International Business is a major training ground for new researchers. We have a group of PhD students who add to the vibrancy of our research environment, organize monthly PhD seminars and make significant contributions to published research.

Our doctoral students have won a number of major international prizes, including the Gunnar Hedlund Prize. Most recently, one of our PhD students won first prize in the 2007 EIBA Best Doctoral Thesis Proposal category at the Third Annual PhD Students Consortium in International Business Administration. Academics with doctorates from CIBUL and former staff members provide the backbone for international business departments throughout the world.
