Many of our academics conduct their research within the auspices of the following research centres.
- International Institute of Banking & Financial Services (IIBFS)
- Centre for Advanced Studies in Finance (CASIF)
- Credit Management Research Centre (CMRC)
All three centres collaborate in their research, sharing common research themes, datasets, methodology workshops, the joint-supervision of PhDs and the dissemination of results.
We believe PhD students are integral to our division's commitment to collaborative research work.
We currently supervise twenty-eight PhD students. Our division organises a series of regular seminars and research methodology workshops. Recent international visitors have included Allan Hodgson from the University of Amsterdam, the editor of European Financial Management John Doukas, Julio Pindado from the University of Salamanca, J C Lin from Louisiana State University, and Marco Bigelli from the University of Bologna.
Our academics cover all the major areas of Accounting and Finance, as well as specialist options that reflect their research interests. We also offer ESRC-recognised post-graduate programmes in Accounting and Finance and International Finance.
