Posted in: General, Management, MBA

Dr Alan Murray's book Corporate Responsibility, co-authored with Michael Blowfield, was shortlisted for the Chartered Management Institute - Management Book of the Year Awards and won the ‘Management and Leadership Textbook’ category.

There were 5 categories, each with 5 books shortlisted, from an initial pool of 154 books.

In choosing this book to win the category prize, the judges commented that the book was, ‘..elegantly and clearly written..’ that, ‘..everything is set out with the student in mind and therefore encourages further study very effectively..’, and that, ‘..unlike many other textbooks, this one takes a truly international perspective and is relevant for a wide audience, including students, but also practicing managers...’

The Chartered Management Institute  is holding a number of Road Shows in the coming months and Dr Alan Murray will be talking about the book at an event at York St John University on 27 March.

Further details of the books can be found at: CMI Management Book of the Year Awards - books.
