During a visit to Taiwan in March 2012, LUBS lecturer Tony Byng met up with some of our alumni for a great night of networking. The evening started with a seminar by Tony on Creativity in Marketing Communications… Why do we Bother? at the Westin Taipei hotel, Taipei. Tony explored the myths and realities behind the benefits of creativity in marketing across a range of communications disciplines in the current global market place. He also gave his views on the current state of marketing opportunities in the UK and the UK job market. This was followed by a drinks reception.
Tony Byng was very pleased with the way the event went. He said “There was an excellent turnout with around 35 alumni. They were reluctant to leave at the end of the night and we had to be “moved on” by the hotel!”
