MBA Careers (Global Employability Team)

We believe your career development is integral to your MBA experience. At Leeds we provide a tailored programme to help you effectively compete in the global marketplace. We will support you in developing your career plans by providing high quality careers information, advice and coaching that realistically meets your needs and the marketplace’ requirements.  We also deliver career events and workshops which enables you to meet employers, explore industries you may want to work in, network with alumni, practice your interview skills and much more. You will be assigned a dedicated career coach and have access to industry specific practitioners and extensive resources through our Global Employability Team.

The Leeds Career Wise Programme follows three key stages:

Reflection and Orientation

This initial stage of the programme focuses on facilitated reflection and career planning. With the support of our dedicated career coach you will use evaluation tools to help you clarify your career objectives, evaluate potential career directions and produce your own individual career action plan.

Professionalism and Skills Development

We set standards for global professionalism which are expected throughout your studies. In addition, we host career development workshops and presentations to help you understand the recruitment process and the skills required in global business environment. 

Market Knowledge

Keeping up to date with industry developments and business ideas is key. Our networking events provide an opportunity to meet business leaders and alumni to hear about and discuss the business issues facing managers today.

The Leeds approach focuses on facilitation and support, providing the resources and advice you need to help hone your job-seeking and interviewing skills. Our experienced MBA career consultants will work with you to understand your individual needs and experience to identify clear milestones for success.
