The Accounting and Finance Division has fostered a vibrant teaching and leading edge research culture. Our research is broadly based, encompassing four main themes, with a focus on applied and empirical studies supported by three specialist centres.
Accounting and Finance Division staff regularly publish research in world leading and internationally excellent academic journals. Current projects feature in our research working paper series. We combine academic rigour with practitioner and policy relevance that reflects our strong relationships with the finance, credit and accounting professions, as well as the international academic community, all of which is supported by a major investment in key databases and a regular research seminar series.
These interfaces are a critical factor in our commitment to dynamic and relevant research, research led innovative teaching, exceptional postgraduate courses, and impact through knowledge transfer activity.
