Access to the latest alumni news and events

The Leeds University Business School alumni team are keen to update you with all the latest alumni news, events, benefits and services with a variety of communications.  We produce a quarterly alumni e-newsletter for all alumni which are sent to you so long as we have your up-to-date email address.   Please update your details online. 

We also produce an annual alumni magazine Network which is sent to all alumni. 

Stay connected via social media with updates from us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

We invite alumni to a wide range of events during the year, such as the FT Masterclass lecture series, Executive Insight Seminars, Alumni seminars (in London and Leeds), and international alumni events, groups and fairs.  We also host online events on topics including India Online, Entrepreneurship, FMCG and CSR.   Please visit News and Events for regular calendar updates.

Project Work

Alumni financial benefits

As a Leeds graduate there are a number of financial benefits available to you, including:

  • A bursary on The Leeds MBA programme is available to all Leeds University alumni.
  • The Business School Bursary. University of Leeds graduates are entitled to a 10% bursary towards Masters degrees in Business fees. University of Leeds graduates with a first classification are entitled to 20% bursary towards fees.  A 10% bursary is also available to exchange students or those who have studied a Junior Year Abroad at the University of Leeds.

Free Access to the ABI Global Database

The ABI Global Database provides you with in-depth coverage of journal articles on a variety of areas including business conditions and trends, competitor strategies and product information.   To obtain access details for ABI Global you need to be logged onto Leeds Alumni online (Leeds Alumni online is the University of Leeds alumni community pages).  Once you have registered with Leeds Alumni online (and it may take 48 hrs for your registration to be fully completed), you should be able to log in to Leeds Alumni online and on your personalised opening page, Business School alumni will be given exclusive access to the ABI Global Database login details and password.  If you have any problems with this process, please email alumni@lubs.leeds.ac.uk

Library Membership

You can use the University's Library facilities and access their collection of 2,700,000 items free of charge (a small fee is payable to borrow books). A few Library computers are available giving access to the internet and some library electronic resources. Visit the Library

Leeds alumni can continue to access the University Library and Sports Centre as well as become a Life Member of Leeds University Union.

CAREERS

Career Support

As alumni you have access to the University of Leeds Careers Centre services .  This includes careers drop-in advice and one to one appointments, or you can get careers guidance by email at Leeds University Careers Service.  The career consultants for LUBS are Lynda Hall for undergraduates and Debbie Powell for taught post graduates.

If you have graduated in the last 5 years, you also have access to the 'STARS' vacancies page (2010 and onwards graduates can use their university username and password to access this site, to access STARS for 5 years after their graduation. 2009 graduates need to contact the Careers Centre and they will be issued a temporary username and password to use the system)
