Experience

In 2006 Shauna graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a first class honours degree in Psychology. Later that year she took up a role as a junior HR consultant with Polaris HR Ltd. During her time in this role Shauna specialised in the field of alternative dispute resolution. She is a trained mediator, facilitator and investigator, having spent her time working on bullying and harassment cases for both private and public sector clients in the Republic of Ireland.

In September 2008 Shauna gave up this role to return to full time education. She graduated from the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield with an MSc in Occupational Psychology in January 2010. For her dissertation she conducted an applied research project with the Royal College of Nursing, London on the topic of ‘Developing Career Pathways’. She also gained her British Psychological Society Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing at Level A.

Shauna joined the STC team in April 2010. She is responsible for leading and delivering a 2 year project with Rolls-Royce plc which aims to investigate the socio-technical issues surrounding the re-design of their New Product Introduction system. Her other research interests include organisational culture, social networks in organisations and career management.

Shauna is currently working towards chartered status.
