Joachim's research interests are centred around operations management strategy, organisational theory, management practices and innovation management.
- Specific
Joachim's main research interests evolve around operations strategy and management practices in different organisational settings and sectors. A particular focus is placed upon management practices and organisational context. This work leads on to a number of research avenues including management practices and the stages in an ?Institutional Push/Need Pull? framework, common activities within management practices and their impact upon adoption and implementation. In addition, Joachim has developed research streams in innovation management, technology management and entrepreneurship. He works with the Technology and Innovation Group at Leeds University Business School on a number of research projects in the area of innovation management. This includes a study on the influence of networks on the adoption and performance outcomes of management innovations (such as TQM, Lean Production, Balanced Scorecard, etc). This research focuses on network connections between adopters and organisations such as consultancies but also including government-sponsored agencies.
