Experience

Alex joined Leeds University Business School in October 2009 as a part time doctoral researcher while also working in the banking sector and since October 2011 he has been occupied as a teaching assistant.

Alex has 7 years of professional experience. He has worked in several positions in the accounting and finance area in private corporations, financial institutions and a period in the public sector. Among the above duties, he had served as a project financial analyst for infrastructure projects in a construction company (accounting division), as well as commercial credit analyst in the financial services sector. Since 2008 he has been holding a banking position, being a credit risk analyst.  He has attended and presented a number of professional seminars. His current professional interests are in the area of risk management - firm failure prediction and credit scoring as well as firm financing. He has attended and presented professional seminars in the subject.

Alex is fluent in Greek and English and has experience in ERP systems.

Research

Alex's research interests are in the areas of credit risk management - firm failure prediction and credit scoring as well as firm financing.

Teaching

Alex is currently a Teaching Assistant in Accounting and Finance for Leeds University Business School.
