The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 has placed Leeds University Business School 1st for Accounting and Finance for the second year running. The results published this week measure teaching quality, student experience, research rating and graduate prospects.
Reflecting on the success, Professor Kevin Keasey, Head of the Accounting and Finance Division said:
"The Accounting and Finance division is very proud of being ranked Number 1 by the Sunday Times/Times in both 2016 and 2017, as well as being ranked number 1 by the Guardian in 2016. These league table positions show the lasting quality that has been built over many years, by the hard work of our very dedicated team. We have improved every aspect of our activities and built a culture that constantly looks to innovate. This focus has led to having high achieving student cohorts at undergraduate and postgraduate levels."
The School was also placed 5th in the Russell Group for Business Studies and 8th in the Russell Group for Economics. Peter Moizer, Dean said: “We are extremely proud to hold top position for Accounting and Finance, and achieve such positive results across all our subject areas.”
In addition, the University of Leeds has been named University of the Year 2017. Professor Tom Ward, Deputy Vice Chancellor: Student Education said, “We are very proud to be University of the Year 2017 - a welcome recognition of our commitment to ensuring that students experience an outstanding education here at Leeds”.
